GRUPOTEC R+D+I PIONEERS IN THE WINE SECTOR
The GRUPOTEC R+D+i Business Consultant unit was recently chosen to take on the responsibility of serving as Technical Secretary of the recently formed TECHNOLOGICAL PLATFORM OF SPANISH WINE.
This is a trailblazing initiative of the Spanish State Ministry of Science and Innovation, with funding from the INNFLUYE Programme for 2010-2012. It intends to become a seminal reference in the European WINE sector, as there is currently no similar Technological Platform anywhere in Europe.
The Platform hopes to become a meeting ground for the national industry, led by the industrial sector, bringing together all the sectors that form part of the Wine business in Spain -wineries and Research or Technology Centres, Business Associations, support industry companies and grapevine nurseries, as well as public and private institutions in related fields. The goal of the Forum will be to offer a vision of the future for the sector up to 2020, and to define and develop the strategic agenda for the Technological Platform of Wine. The implementation of the agenda must allow for an increased competitiveness of the sector based on a clear commitment to Innovation and Knowledge.
