GRUPOTEC PROVIDES THE ENGINEERING OF REFERENCE FOR ZUVAMESA
Zumos Valencianos del Mediterráneo S.A. (ZUMAVESA) is a company owned by several Valencian firms engaged in the export of citrus fruits, as well as other reference firms dedicated to the production and marketing of juices. With an investment of over 120 million euros, ZUMAVESA takes a comprehensive approach to the production citrus fruits, producing not only juices but also other components such as animal feed.
GRUPTEC has undertaken the Projects, legalisations, works management and health and safety coordination of the civil engineering works and the firm’s installations. The plant currently occupies a surface area of over 40,000 m2 constructed on a 147,000 m2 plot and is equipped to convert around 250,000 Tm of citrus fruits with its 28 industrial extractors. It has a storage capacity of 40 million litres in the form of 80, 500,000-litre capacity aseptic tanks.
During the inauguration ceremony, Valencia Region President Camps declared that the plant “is going to become an essential reference for anyone who may want to put an installation of this nature into operation.” He also added that the project combines research and innovation, "a development of the relationship between technology and the land at the highest level.”
